All public sector buildings are now required to display a Display Energy Certificate (DEC) in a prominent place clearly visible to the public.

Display Energy Certificate training through Energy Solutions is currently only £1299+VAT

Training is now available for anyone wishing to produce DECs and Advisory Reports. This role will of course appeal to many experienced domestic and non domestic (commercial) energy assessors. However it will also be possible for entrants, new into energy assessment, to obtain appropriate training to achieve the ABBE qualification.

During your Display Energy Certificate assessor training you will cover the following:

  • Basic Construction Recognition

  • Building services recognition specific to DECs

  • Surveying Methodology

  • Introduction to ORCalc Software

  • Practical Site Visit and Live Assessment

  • Processing of Simulation building into software

  • Qualification Portfolio


During your DEC course Energy Solutions can provide, subject to availability, access to the three public buildings required to complete this qualification. During your three day course you will visit the following three properties:

  • A Public School

  • A Public Leisure Centre

  • A Public Office Building

Full Display Energy Certificate training course is currently £1299+VAT

Funding may be available towards the cost of your course. Regional funding is available in some areas of the UK, up to 60% could be funded towards the cost of your course. For more details and to check availability please call 0845 310 2407.
